Framework announced for Merseytravel

Merseytravel has appointed eight contractors to a three-year £10m general engineering framework, to work on the public transport body's estate across Merseyside.

The contractor partners are Warden Construction, based in Preston, Harry Fairclough Construction in Warrington, Vivark in Knowsley, JFW Construction in Merseyside, Skyline Property Solutions in Liverpool, Hayes Electrical & Building Services in Liverpool, Jamieson Contracting in Manchester and J Greenwood based in Lancashire.

The firms will compete for work on a mini-competition basis and will deliver light-to-medium engineering activity on bus stations, office buildings, ferry terminal buildings and tourist attractions, alongside all Mersey Tunnel assets.

Contracts will be up to £1m in value and could include refurbishments, repainting, plumbing installations, general signage and public realm ground works.
