Four picked for Eastlands’ housing programme

Eastlands Homes Partnership's has awarded four firms with a share of its four year housing refurbishment programme in east Manchester.

The four selected from the 25 companies which tendered for the work includes:

  • Henry Boot Construction
  • Bullock Construction
  • The Casey Group
  • Connaught Partnerships

The work involves internal refurbishment of kitchens and bathrooms, and rewiring work on approximately 4,000 low rise dwellings in the east Manchester area.

The value of each contract is worth about £22.5m.

Eastlands Homes was formed in 2003 to take over and improve 2,800 of east Manchester's former council homes. The housing association has since completed a £45m improvement programme and spent an average £16,000 on each of its customer's homes.
