Four make partner at Trowers

Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has promoted four members of its Manchester real estate team to partner level.

The new Manchester partners are Anna Metham, Ru Anwar and Darren Ashworth in real estate, investment and development, respectively, and Joanne Judge in real estate and real estate finance security.

These are part of the total 10 lawyers promoted across a selection of the firm’s other offices in London, Exeter and Abu Dhabi, and are the first to benefit from the firm’s Pathways to Partnership career progression programme.

Trowers & Hamlin said that the expansion of the Manchester real estate team demonstrates the firm’s key focus for the business with over 60% of lawyers advising across investment, development, construction, asset management, planning, environment and dispute resolution.

Partner and head of the Manchester office, Suzanne Benson, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges, but during this difficult time our Manchester office has continued to grow.

“I am thrilled that four from our real estate team have been promoted to the partnership. This highlights the wide array of talent that we have here in Manchester and emphasises our commitment to providing our clients with exceptional legal acumen.”

Trowers has had an office in Manchester for more than 40 years and moved to 55 Princess Street in 2015.
