Former WHR partners launch new practice

The three young surveyors who previously worked for WHR Property Consultants in Manchester have unveiled the name of their new agency as OBI Property.

Will Lewis, 27, an associate partner in office agency, Gary Scorah, 33, partner in investment, and Dominic Horridge, 34, partner in charge of building consultancy, handed in their notices at WHR last November.

They have already secured instructions at Cramer Properties' No. 1 Lakeside on Cheadle Royal Business Park and Bilsdale Properties' 80 Mosley Street in Manchester.

OBI Property has opened a new office in St Peter's Square.

For a firm that always maintained it wanted ‘organic’ growth the loss of these three men must be a blow. One tier of organic growth in one fell swoop? Bet there was no equity though. Not the way to keep three bright ‘young’ things from walking. By the way, next time you use a WHR story can you make sure you put the partners’ ages in.
