ForHousing names new chair, board members
Paul Kennedy is the new chair of the social landlord, with Mark Fletcher, Graeme Foster and Deborah McLaughlin joining the board.
Kennedy replaces Stephen Reuben as chair, who held the position since April 2019.
Kennedy’s has worked in the property sector for decades and spent nearly 13 years as the chief executive of procurement partner Inprova. Kennedy has worked in both the civil service and private sector. He is also currently the non-executive director for data management solutions company Illumar.
“I’m really looking forward to working with ForHousing to improve lives by delivering real change,” Kennedy said. “I strongly believe a stable, high-quality home is vital. The work of ForHousing and their commitment to making more things possible for more people really resonates with that.”
Fletcher is the chief executive officer of Manchester Pride and chair of the LGBTQ+ advisory panel to the Manchester Mayor and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
McLaughlin is the regeneration commissioner for Liverpool City Council. She is well-versed in housing, having been the executive director at the Home sand Communities Agency and the chief officer at Manchester City Council Housing Services.
Foster is the chief executive of Alpha Living, a Wirral-based housing association that specialises in housing older people.
Colette McKune, chief executive of ForHousing issued a welcome to the new chair and board members.
“Our open recruitment process, led by our Nominations Committee, was highly competitive, which is reflected in the wealth of experience, knowledge and skills brought by our new board members,” McKune said.
“Together with our existing members, the board will be able to navigate the increasingly complex challenges faced by providers and drive continuous improvement in our governance arrangements.”
ForHousing owns and manages more than 24,000 homes across the North West.
