FK Group appoints BD director

The building envelope specialist has appointed Rob Crompton from Kalzip as business development director.

Crompton joined the Altrincham office of FK Group after 20 years at Kalzip, a producer of aluminium roof and wall cladding systems, where he was regional manager for the North.

In his role at Kalzip he worked with FK Group as part of the company’s specialist supply chain and worked with the commercial team to secure projects including the City Football Academy.

Crompton said: “I have built a strong relationship with FK Group and I know the business well. With recent impressive growth and ambitious targets, I am relishing the challenge and the opportunities ahead in helping to take FK Group to the next level.”

FK Group said that its turnover reached more than £46m for the year to 31 March 2015. For 2016 turnover is predicted to be around £70m.

Crompton will report to the company’s two managing directors, Paul Bentley and Steve Hall.

FK Group clients include McLaren, BAM, Carillion, Laing O’Rourke and IDI Gazeley.
