First tenant into Bauhaus after refurb

Financial services firm Praetura will be relocating from Castlefield to Quay Street after signing a lease for 6,000 sq ft within Bauhaus.

The firm’s 25 staff will be moving into the office, owned by Orchard Street Investment Management, occupying the space on a 10-year lease.

The nine-storey building on the edge of Spinningfields recently underwent a refurbishment, offering a further 44,000 sq ft of prime office space.

Praetura provides equity and debt funding solutions to SMEs, predominantly in the North West of England. In the last eight years it has tripled staff headcount and grown its loan book to more than £250m.

Colliers International represented Orchard Street.

Sarah O’Connell, asset manager at Orchard Street Investment Management, said: “We are delighted to welcome Praetura as the first occupier in the newly repositioned Bauhaus so soon after completing of the refurbishment. This further supports our conviction to commit significant capital to repositioning the building to provide genuinely unique office space.”
