First Panattoni starts on 240,000 sq ft in Crewe

Readie Construction has started work on behalf of developer First Panattoni to deliver a 240,000 sq ft speculative logistics warehouse off the A500, south of Crewe.

Due to complete at the end of the year, the project, named Crewe 240, sits along the A500 between Nantwich and Junction 16 of the M6, and is set to benefit from the £55m upgrade to the A-road, due to start by spring 2020.

It is US-based First Panattoni’s debut project from the developer’s Northern office, headed up by Dan Burn, who joined from DB Symmetry last month.

“It’s the only building of its size available along the vital M6 motorway network and confirms our commitment to speculatively develop major logistics warehousing across the North West and Yorkshire,” he said.

“With the increased growth of e-commerce and the rising demand for large units of this scale, Crewe 240 offers a unique opportunity for warehouse and logistics operators.”

Other projects the developer has on site include 375 at Logistics North, a 375,000 sq ft warehouse being brought forward alongside Harworth Estates and Exeter Property Group.

Legat Owen, CBRE, and Burbage Realty are the retained agents for Crewe 240.
