First industrial deal signed at Frontier Park

Machinery supplier Tek-Dry Systems has agreed a 61,000 sq ft pre-let at Frontier Park, the logistics development being advanced by the Issa brothers’ Monte Blackburn vehicle.

The scheme sits at junction 6 of the M65 motorway. Tek-Dry’s deal is at Pioneer Court, part of the 400,000 sq ft of accommodation currently under construction at Frontier Park.

Tek-Dry will part-occupy the 135,310 sq ft Unut 1 at Pioneer Court. Also at the scheme, FP One, a single unit of 185,500 sq ft is close to completion. The balance of Pioneer Court – three units totalling 80,000 sq ft – will be completed over the next few months, said the developer.

The services hub at the front of the development is already active, with a filling station, Spar, Subway, drive-thru Greggs, Starbucks and KFC.

A 150-bed Hampton by Hilton Hotel and a 1,400-capacity conference and events centre are under construction. The Issas are best known for building up the Euro Garages business.

Tek-Dry Systems is part of the Mayflower Pacific Holdings Group, and is a specialist global supplier of high-quality thermal process machinery, designing and supplying equipment including dryers, ovens and coolers to industry. The business has recently located in the Hyndburn area.

Alex Kenwright, Frontier Park development manager, said: “Tek-Dry are a fantastic Lancashire-based company reaching out to customers throughout the world.

“Since the turn of the year, we have seen the level of occupier enquires rise dramatically and we look forward to announcing more deals over the coming months, as the first phases of the development reach completion.”

Scott Thompson, sales director of Tek-Dry, added: “This move marks a significant milestone in the progression of Tek-Dry Systems Limited. It provides us with the means to service and support our growing customer base and to expand our reach.”

Letting agents for the development are Trevor Dawson, Avison Young and B8 Real Estate.
