Firms picked for £170m schools panel

Contractors have been selected for the £170m North Wales Schools & Public Buildings Contractors Framework.

The four-year framework will be shared by councils in Conwy, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Wrexham and Anglesey. The bulk of the work will be procured through the Welsh Government's £1.4bn 21st Century Schools Programme, with funding matched 50:50 by the government and local education authority.

The framework is split into three separate lots according to the size of the job; between £4.35m and £7.5m; between £7.5m and £15m; and exceeding £15m. The lowest threshold of £4.35m refers to the current OJEU threshold for works determined by the European Commission.

  • Read Construction, Wrexham
  • Watkin Jones & Son, Llandygai

  • Miller Construction, Newton-le-Willows
  • Wynne Construction, Rhyl
