FEC unveils Angel Meadows vision

Far East Consortium has started pre-planning public consultation into a 754-unit family housing scheme surrounding Angel Meadows near Victoria Station and NOMA in Manchester.

There are four development plots showing apartment blocks rising from nine to 41 storeys at the Northern end.

FEC said in its marketing material: “The scheme will provide a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments. FEC wants to encourage long-term ownership or occupation of the apartments, including by families. The apartments have been designed to meet the requirements of the draft Manchester Design Guide and to adopt ‘lifetime home’ principles. The apartments will be generously sized and well managed.”

FEC was selected as development partner in 2016 by landowners Manchester Place and the Co-op. FEC has appointed 5plus Architects and How Planning to draw up detailed plans. The public consultation exercise will last until 7 April. Consultation events will take place at Band on the Wall on 23 and 24 March.
