The developer has appointed Timea Nacsa as assistant development manager, Adam Barbour as completions coordinator and Stephen Clayton as sales manager, as it progresses the £1bn Northern Gateway and other schemes.
Far East Consortium is mapping out the first phase of the masterplan to deliver up to 15,000 new homes across north Manchester over the next 10 to 15 years, in joint venture with the city council.
In the meantime, it is constructing homes at its other Manchester schemes, the £150m MeadowSide development and £25m New Cross Central.
In the latest in a string of hires for FEC in recent months, Clayton has been appointed to the newly created role of sales manager, joining the company from Thornley Groves Estate Agency, where he worked for eight years most recently as a sales and new homes manager.
He has experience handling central Manchester sales ranging in value from £100,000 to £2.5m and will initially focus on selling units at the MeadowSide and New Cross Central.
Nacsa joins FEC as assistant development manager and joins from housebuilder Vita Group where she was a senior planning associate, overseeing the planning process for two Manchester sites for the company’s co-living brand, Union.
The chartered town planner has also held major roles on other large-scale planning consultancy projects in London and Australia. She will focus on delivery of the first phase of the Northern Gateway, to comprise around 3,000 homes.
Barbour has been appointed as completions coordinator. He joins from New Homes Solutions where he held the role of residential sales progressor, dealing with housebuilders that sold properties through part-exchange and assisted move schemes.
Prior to that, he held a similar role at Moving Made Easy and has also worked at Countrywide and O’Neill Patient Solicitors gaining conveyancing knowledge throughout his career. He will be responsible for managing operations around the completion of homes at MeadowSide and New Cross Central.
FEC sales and marketing director Andrew Bradley Nixon said: “2021 is a milestone year for us as we welcome tenants to Mount Yard at MeadowSide and continue to secure sales at The Gate and The Stile at MeadowSide and New Cross Central.
“Our priority is to ensure a safe and smooth sales process for our new tenants moving in from Spring 2021, so we have hired a senior team who will use their experience and professionalism to ensure the communities we are building have a seamless purchase and moving in experience.”
The first residential scheme at MeadowSide to complete is the 12-storey Mount Yard, containing 136 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses. Residents are due to move in this spring.
The 22-storey The Gate and 17-storey The Stile at MeadowSide, containing a total of 286 apartments and penthouses overlooking Angel Meadow, is also expected to complete this year. MeadowSide is to offer 756 units once complete.
New Cross Central is due to complete in 2022, offering nine three-bed townhouses on the ground floor and 71 one- and two-bed apartments.
Last week, FEC selected a panel of three providers to deliver affordable housing at the Red Bank neighbourhood, part of the Northern Gateway.
