FCHO confirms contractors for £90m framework

First Choice Homes Oldham has confirmed the 14 contractors working on its framework to improve the homes and communities of Oldham.

The four year programme will see the refurbishment of properties within the registered provider of social housing's portfolio of 12,000 homes.

Those contractors picked for the £90m programme include:

  • Lovell Partnerships
  • Emanuel Whittaker
  • Morrison Facilities
  • Jackson, Jackson & Sons
  • Mitie Property Services
  • Enterprise
  • New Charter Building Company
  • The Casey Group
  • Herbert T Forest
  • Bramall Construction
  • Cruden Construction
  • Kier Support Services
  • Bullock Construction
  • Vinci Construction

The programme of work will include kitchen and bathroom replacements, electrical rewiring and heating upgrades, as well as external improvements and communal area upgrades such as painting and repairs.

FCHO is responsible for managing, letting, repairing and modernising properties that were previously owned by Oldham Council prior to a stock transfer earlier this year. The refurbishment contract is part of a £149m improvement programme that will see properties and estates improved and modernised.

Cath Green, chief executive at FCHO, said: "Local people will benefit from the millions of pounds we are investing in our properties, and we need top quality partners on board to ensure our improvement programme is a success.

"The contractors have undergone a rigorous selection procedure and FCHO customers have been involved throughout."
