Arne Clo, an e-commerce fashion retailer, has agreed a 10-year lease taking a 59,000 sq ft industrial unit at the Patrizia-managed, Warrington Council-owned estate.
The deal for 720 Daten Avenue means that the £12m phase two of the park’s Cavendish warehouse project, comprising five units totalling 170,000 sq ft, is fully let.
Founded by brothers Reece and Ryan Broadhurst in 2018, Arne Clo has grown from a small initial unit to its first warehouse in Wigan, before outgrowing that and signing the deal at the Warrington business park.
Reece Broadhurst said: “We are a North West company, and incredibly proud to be so. When we were looking to relocate from our Wigan base, although we were looking for a significantly large space, we also required easy access to motorway links and it was important that the new site had all the amenities required for our existing staff members. Birchwood Park ticked all the boxes for us.
Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, said: “The North West is known for its entrepreneurial spirt, especially within the fashion sector, and the Arne team is a great example of that – with such inspirational growth since its launch just three years ago.”
Warrington Council acquired Birchwood Park for £200m in 2017, one of several councils that aggressively pursued the building of commercial portfolios in order to create income streams.
