Fairhursts makes Manchester move

The architecture and design practice has relocated from King Street, taking 5,300 sq ft at PD Properties’ six-storey 31 Dale Street, part of the wider NQ Studios estate.

Fairhursts Design Group, which employs around 55 people across its Manchester, Southampton and Cambridge offices, has moved into the top floor of the Northern Quarter building, having signed a five-year lease.

“As a business with a young, creative workforce we felt it was time to find a new home for our head office and provide staff with a working environment that both inspires and motivates them,” said Richard Sagar, managing director at Fairhursts.

PD Properties was represented by Savills and Cushman Wakefield acted for Fairhursts.

Andrew Cooke, associate director in Savills’ Manchester office agency team, said: “31 Dale Street provides quality, modern office space while also capturing the culture of the Northern Quarter and the character it brings to Manchester city centre

“The area comprises a strong mix of media, creative and digital occupiers and in spite of the wider challenges of the past 12 months, we are still continuing to see good levels of interest from growing corporates for workspace in the Northern Quarter and the wider city centre.”

Lambert Smith Hampton and Daniel Harris & Co, are joint letting agents for 31 Dale Street.

Other tenants within the building include sports brand Umbro, which occupies three floors, and Love, an advertising agency that occupies the third and fourth floors.

PD Properties’ 31 Dale Street forms part of the NQ Studios estate that also includes 10 and 14 Little Lever Street, 18 Hilton Street and 45 Newton Street, all of which have recently undergone, or are currently undergoing, refurbishment.
