Exertis sells 100,000 sq ft Accrington warehouse

Acting on behalf of Exertis, WHR Property Consultants has sold a 103,000 sq ft warehouse in Altham Business Park in Lancashire to owner-occupier, North West Logistics.

Exertis recently moved to a purpose built 600,000 sq ft warehouse in Burnley Bridge and is consolidating its operations. The unit was sold for an undisclosed sum.

Together with Trevor Dawson, Exertis has again appointed WHR Property Consultants to dispose of another 125,000 sq ft warehouse, also on Altham Business Park.

Mike Rooney, partner and head of industrial agency at WHR, said: “This is a very significant instruction – not only for us but also for the North West industrial market as warehouses of this size are increasingly scarce. Despite some uncertainty, the manufacturing and logistics market remains strong and we are confident that this building will attract a good deal of interest from both potential occupiers and investors alike. The fact that we were able to dispose of the other large unit before officially bringing it to the market is testament to this.”
