Acting for CBRE Global Investors, B8 Real Estate has secured a 23,200 sq ft deal at Europa Way in Trafford Park, with bakery supplier Kluman & Balter signing up for a 10-year lease.
The bakery supplier’s deal is at a rent of £6.50/sq ft at the unit, which has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme and will be used for the manufacture and production of baking ingredients and products.
Kluman & Balter was acquired in December last year by global chemical distributor Brenntag as par of its expansion into the UK food distribution market.
Europa Way, comprising three units and owned by CBRE Global Investors, is now fully let following the deal. Gerald Eve acted for Kluman & Balter.
Commenting on the deal, Paul Thorne of B8RE said “The comprehensive refurbishment and improvement of the asset enabled us to secure a high-profile occupier looking for a food grade quality unit.
“The minimal void period and the 30% uplift against the previous rent further demonstrates the benefit of undertaking a high standard refurbishment.”
