Eric Wright wins Stockport Homes HQ contract

Quorum Estates has appointed Eric Wright as the main contractor to build Stockport Homes’ 53,000 sq ft headquarters in the town centre.

MF Finnigan was the demolition contractor, and started on site in August.

The Edward Street site opposite Stockport Town Hall was formerly occupied by a car salesroom and vacant industrial buildings.

Designed by AEW Architects, the development will see the consolidation of Stockport Homes’ existing services into one modern building.

The new HQ is due to be ready for occupation by spring 2017.

Henry Brothers Construction, GMI Construction Group, and Conlon Construction are among the contractors who have landed a spot on the work programme.
