ERDF issues call for transport and infrastructure projects

The North West European Regional Development Fund team has issued a call for capital investment projects under Priority 3 of its investment framework, for green transport and opening up strategic sites.

The invitation for bids, which is supported by the region's five Local Enterprise Partnerships, seeks bids across two strands

  • Promoting clean and sustainable urban transport
  • Investment in key strategic sites

In total there is £10m available for capital projects 'to create physical conditions conducive to sustainable growth and having a significant impact on Gross Value Added for the sub region/region."

This call is for projects across the North West excluding Merseyside; there will be a separate call announced for Merseyside under Priority 3.

ERDF in the North West is worth €755m between 2007 and 2013, of which there remains about £100m left to allocate.
