English Cities Fund appoints JLL to New Bailey office

The joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes & Communities Agency has named JLL as joint office agency on One New Bailey, the 125,000 sq ft, eight-storey office development in Salford.

JLL joins current agent DTZ on the scheme, which is now on site and due for completion in summer 2016.

One New Bailey provides floorplates of up to 17,200 sq ft. The ground floor includes a number of leisure units for a mix of cafes, bars and restaurants. The scheme has a new public square, extensive landscaping and an outdoor events space which can be accessed by the existing pedestrian bridge from Spinningfields.

The office development forms part of the wider New Bailey scheme. This includes a 143-bed Premier Inn and a 615-space multi-storey car park, both of which are on site and will complete this year.

Phil Mayall, development director at ECf, said: "We appointed JLL as joint agent on One New Bailey based on its extensive experience in the Manchester office market. This is an exciting project and I am confident JLL will be a great asset to the team in attracting a wide range of businesses to this unique new business district in the city."

Chris Mulcahy, director at JLL, said: "The city is in need of new office development and One New Bailey will offer exactly the type of space that will meet the requirements of today's businesses."
