Engineers needed for £34m uni programme

Lancaster University is procuring structural and civil engineering consultancies to help deliver new buildings and infrastructure over the next four years.

The panel of up to five successful firms is expected to be in place by January 2013 and last for a period of an initial three years with an option to extend the agreement for a further year.

As well as new-build capital projects the panel would help with maintenance and ongoing engineering.

Over the period covered by the framework the university expects £20m to be spent on major projects and £14m on minor projects.

The tender is being conducted electronically using the university e-tendering system, which can be found at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/lancaster/.
