Engineering site sold out of administration

The Manchester office of surveyor Sanderson Weatherall has sold the former Royden Engineering premises in St Helens on behalf of administrator Grant Thornton.

The 38,300 sq ft premises on 1.5 acres in Sandwash Close, Rainford were put on the market after Royden Engineering went into administration in September 2010.

The workshop, warehouse and office were bought for £300,000 by an unnamed local business.

Rory Dillon, surveyor in asset advisory and recovery at Sanderson Weatherall, said: "We are encouraged to see that demand for industrial premises in this area is starting to improve."
