Energy firm expands in Stockport

'Smart meter' distributor, Landis & Gyr, has doubled the size of its base at Orion Business Park, signing a nine-year lease on an additional 34,390 sq ft at the estate in Stockport.

Orion Business Park is owned by Royal London Asset Management and Property Alliance Group and totals 250,000 sq ft over 23 acres. Landis & Gyr already occupies a 30,000 sq ft building on the park. The new lease was agreed at a rent of £195,000 a year.

Simon Hampson, partner at WHR, said: "Orion Business Park has proven to be a successfully scheme, which is due to its prominent location in one of South Manchester's premier industrial locations and the exceptional quality of accommodation on offer. This latest letting represents the final piece of the jigsaw for this popular HQ scheme."
