Emery Planning adds to board

The town planning consultancy has promoted Ben Pycroft and John Coxon to directors at its base in Macclesfield.

Coxon joined Emery in 2008, while Pycroft joined in 2011 from his role as a regional policy officer at Oldham Council.

The pair specialise in strategic development applications for large scale residential, commercial or mixed-use schemes. They also work on applications involving housing land supply and five-year housing land supply calculations.

They join a board of six other directors, including Denise and Peter Emery who founded the company in 1985. Emery overall has 27 members of staff.

According to Emery, these promotions follow a sustained period of success and growth, with more promotions and appointments to be announced before the end of 2019.

Stephen Harris, director at Emery Planning, said: “John and Ben are incredibly talented and driven individuals who execute every case with skill, professionalism and tenacity. They work to exceptionally high standards and are committed to delivering only positive outcomes for their clients.

“Their input has helped the business retain and grow its client base and achieve an enviable track record of planning success. It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome them to the board.”
