Emerson picks Pannone for debt recovery advice

Manchester law firm Pannone has been appointed as legal advisers to developer-investor the Emerson Group.

The firm was appointed following a competitive tender by a number of North West rivals to advise Emerson on property litigation and debt recovery matters.

Emerson, based in Alderley Edge, east Cheshire, is owned by Peter Jones and family and has a property portfolio in excess of £1bn.

David Brown, partner and head of the property litigation team at Pannone, said: "We are delighted to have secured the Emerson Group as a client, for property litigation and debt recovery. This reflects our standing in the North West as one of the leading firms in these specialist areas."
