Ellesmere Port letting defies market conditions

Spencer Holdings has secured a letting of a 20,763 sq ft unit to Proweld at its Olympic Park site in Poole Hall Road, Ellesmere Port.

The engineering services company has taken a five-year deal at £4/sq ft.

The letting means the estate is now fully let with other occupiers including Interserve, Dailies and Surface Transforms.

Interest in the Ellesmere Port market has remained strong despite the difficult economic climate, according to chairman of the Spencer Group, Jim Spencer.

He said: "We are delighted to secure this letting, the rental level achieved reflects the quality of the premises and the demand for space in the area.

"We are committed to the North West and have a number of new developments coming to the market on both the Wirral and in Merseyside and I am pleased to say that we continue to receive strong levels of interest for both trade counter and general industrial and warehouse units.

"This recent letting gets us off to a positive start in 2009 and with a number of other properties under offer and in solicitors hands we look forward to continuing this trend over the coming months"

Unit 3 Olympic Park, a 16,684 sq ft industrial unit, will be available from March 2009.

CB Richard Ellis are sole letting agents at Olympic Park.
