Elevate delays sustainability conference until 2009

Elevate, the housing market renewal agency for East Lancashire, has postponed its forthcoming Sustainable Way conference until spring 2009 at the earliest.

In a statement issued today Elevate said: "We regret to advise you that The Sustainable Way Conference due to be held at Shuttleworth College in Burnley on October 29 & 30 has been postponed until spring 2009.

"Having taken into account the present financial climate that is affecting all industries but specifically the built environment and construction we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the conference until spring next year. A new date will be confirmed shortly.

"We envisage the two-day conference to be the largest sustainable building conference and exhibition in the North of England. It will bring together a range of high calibre speakers who will share their insights and expertise and discuss the 'hot topics' of the day through keynotes and workshops."
