Edmundson relocates to Ashburton Park

The distributor of electrical equipment, Edmundson Electrical, has moved a branch of its Electric Center business to new premises on Trafford Park.

The business has let 6,818 sq ft at Ashburton Park from landlord CBRE Global Investors on a ten-year lease at a rent of £6/sq ft.

Edmundson, which acquired the Electric Center electrical wholesale business from building and plumbing merchant, Wolseley, in July 2011, moved the branch from Westbrook Park, also on Trafford Park.

Andy Backhouse, associate director industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of real estate advisors Colliers International, secured the letting on behalf of CBRE Global Investors with joint agent Davies Harrison.

Backhouse said: "Edmundson wanted to relocate Electric Center to Ashburton Park because they regard it as the premier location on Trafford Park."

Trafford Park is home to major occupiers including Kelloggs, TDG and Wincanton.
