Edge Hill adds to campus accommodation

Edge Hill University has submitted a planning application to West Lancashire Council for a 245-bed hall of residence on its eastern campus.

The proposed development is part of the university's objective to provide residential accommodation on or near campus for a high proportion of students to maximise their contribution to campus life.

The project represents the eighth phase of residential development for the university in Ormskirk. The decision to undertake further phases of residences follows the success of the delivery of the sixth and seventh phases which took place this year, completed in 13 weeks for each phase by John Turner Construction Group as main contractor.

The project team for the next phase comprises Turner & Townsend, ABW Architects, Drosinos, Turley Associates, MDP Project Services, Highet Project Management, Integra, AECOM and AJP Structural Engineers.
