Eddisons sale raises £2.1m

Eddisons sold 27 of the 32 lots offered at its North West auction on Tuesday raising £2.1m.

A tenanted retail unit in Accrington producing rental income of £11,500 a year sold for £133,000. The guide price was £85,000 plus.

Residential investments in the student area of Smithdown Road of Liverpool also proved popular among investors. These included a tenanted block of six, one bedroom apartments producing annual income of £23,920, which sold for £172,000 off a guide of £120,000 plus.

Two semi-detached houses arranged as five self-contained flats, in the same area of Liverpool, sold for £138,000 off a guide of £100,000 plus. Current rental income is £13,746 per annum.

A vacant parcel of land in Stoke extending to 0.6 acres sold for £221,000, off a guide of £75,000.

The Eddisons Manchester auction was part of a three day sale, which included dates in Leeds and London and generated overall proceeds of nearly £9m.
