Eddisons releases December auction catalogue
Eddisons has attracted 56 lots for its final North West property auction of the year, which will be held at the Premier Inn, Trafford Park, on 3 December.
Highlights include The Wilmslow Hotel on Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield, Manchester. The 34-bedroom hotel is trading and offers an opportunity to retain the existing business or redevelop for alternative uses, subject to planning. The guide price is £950,000.
Meanwhile, the vacant 20-bedroom Chimes Hotel on Blackpool seafront is guided at £125,000.
Elsewhere, the Surfer's Paradise Bar on King Street, Wigan, is being offered at a guide price of £300,000.
Also in Wigan, a part-tenanted mixed-use investment on Market Street, producing income £8,400 a year, has a guide price of £140,000.
Development opportunities include Weston House Nursery in Halewood, Merseyside. Extending to 1.28-acres in a semi-rural location, the site has planning consent for the existing buildings to be converted into six residential properties. It is being offered along with a 16-acre parcel of grazing land at a guide price of £400,000.
In Stockport, a tenanted mixed-use property producing income of £25,050 a year has a guide of £160,000, a potential return of over 15.6%.
Commercial stock includes Global House on the Adlington Business & Industrial Park, Cheshire. The part-tenanted property is being offered on the instructions of the receivers at a guide price of £150,000.
Auctioneer Tony Webber said: 'We have assembled an excellent catalogue to finish the year, which presents a variety of buying opportunities for investors, developers and owner occupiers.
'There has been a notable improvement in market sentiment in the second half of 2013, with our October auction producing some of our strongest results so far this year. We have every reason to believe the December sale will continue this upward trend."
It is the first day of a three day sale which includes dates in Leeds and London and has attracted a total of 143 lots.
