Economic Commission expands in Churchgate House

CBRE Investors has let an 8,944 sq ft office at Churchgate House, Oxford Road, to Manchester's Commission for Economic Development, Employment and Skills.

The deal, for part of the sixth floor, was achieved at £16/sq ft on a 10-year lease. The organisation previously had space in Churchgate and Lee House.

Nick Gerrard, deputy chief executive of the Economic Commission, commented: "With having to vacate our previous premises and recently being established as Manchester's Commission for Economic Development, Employment and Skills we are excited about the next phase of development of our organisation and we feel the quality accommodation we have secured at Churchgate House will give us the platform to achieve our objectives."

Rob Yates, office agency director at DTZ, advising CBRE Investors, added: "Churchgate House is performing well in the current market as the accommodation demonstrates real value for money; a further 37,000 sq ft is due to be refurbished within the building."
