Eco advisor joins GVA Grimley

The Manchester office of GVA Grimley has announced the appointment of Lara Conaway from construction firm Morgan Sindall as associate sustainability consultant.

Conaway is qualified to Associate Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment and BREEAM Offices Assessor level. She will support GVA Grimley's teams on sustainability issues.

As well as working on fee-earning jobs, Conaway will introduce internal initiatives at GVA Grimley including green innovation workshops, to engender a greater level of understanding of green business within the company.

Mark Rawstron, senior regional director at GVA Grimley 's Manchester office, comments: "Lara's appointment is part of a longer term programme to step up our sustainability operations. The industry is changing faster now than it ever has. We are committed to the environment and our accreditation to ISO 14001 is just one of many objectives we have to improve our carbon footprint. Lara's experience and knowledge is a very welcome addition to the business."
