The residential development, part of English Cities Fund’s £1bn Salford Central masterplan, has reached its highest point of construction and completion is targeted for next October.
Once complete, Atelier will provide 178 units across four seven-storey blocks on Chapel Street in Salford.
The scheme comprises 167 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 11 three-bedroom townhouses and commercial space on the ground floor, all designed by Buttress Architects.
ECF, a consortium of Muse Developments, fund manager Legal & General and government agency Homes England, is working to deliver the Salford Central masterplan in partnership with Salford City Council. It has three residential developments and two commercial buildings on site at the 50-acre zone.
Atelier occupies plots E7 and E8 of the masterplan area and is being built by main contractor Eric Wright Construction. The site sits between North Star Drive and Chapel Street, between the Vimto Gardens development and the Ainscow Hotel.

She added: “What we’re seeing here is a shining example of what we can achieve when the public and private sector work together, to create a development that will deliver much-needed homes for Salford and drive inward investment, growth and prosperity to benefit the whole of the city.”
ECF was granted £1.2m from Homes England’s Housing Infrastructure Fund to bring forward Atelier’s construction.
