Eastlands Homes opens new depot

Housing association Eastlands Homes has moved its property services team into a new purpose-built base at Quorum Investments' Quattro Park in Longsight, Manchester.

Eastland was formed following the transfer of 5,000 east Manchester homes from the city council in 2009. The organisation has plans for a £113m investment programme to bring all its properties up to modern standards by 2014.

The new 20,000 sq ft office and depot was built by Pochin Construction and includes approximately 10,000 sq ft of office space alongside a maintenance and storage depot.

Sheila Doran, chief executive of Eastlands Homes, said: "Quattro House is located in the centre of Eastlands' area of operations, which covers the whole of East Manchester – from the Tameside border in the east across to Wilmslow Road in the west. The new development will provide us with easier access to the customers that we serve and, in turn, enable us to meet our objective of continuous improvement in the quality and responsiveness of Eastlands' housing and property services."
