DTZ’s Williams joins the Hark Group

Mark Williams, a senior director at DTZ, has left the business to join retail asset manager the Hark Group.

London-based Hark owns the Ashton Arcades shopping centre in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside.

Williams joins as partner working alongside Rob Cossey and David Henderson-Williams who founded Hark in 1998. On Hark's website he is also listed as 'co-owner'.

Williams spent 25 years at DTZ where he most recently led the shopping centre investment and development funding team across the UK and Europe.Mark Williams, DTZ

He said: "I have worked with David and Rob since the late 1980s as well as with their external JV Partners who are supporting our expansion. We share the same philosophy and this is a natural progression for me to put my money where my mouth is. It is also a great time to be joining."

One of his roles will involve expanding the company's portfolio.

His departure from DTZ comes a month after the group was acquired by Australian support services firm UGL in a pre-packaged administration.
