DTZ hired to review Stockport office market

Stockport council has commissioned a study to review the office market in the town centre and borough.

The report will be undertaken by surveyors at DTZ, assisted by planning consultancy Faber Munsell.

Stockport hopes the report will help it "further establish its identity as a key business location".

Cllr Kevin Hogg, executive member for regeneration, said: "Stockport is an active, ambitious borough and we are keen to build upon and develop our strong offer for the future. This commission will build upon the Town Centre Masterplan, as well as a number of exciting projects already underway, for example the £13m flagship office development on the A6."

Caroline Baker, consultancy director at DTZ, added: "Through this commission we will review the existing office market and provide a strategy which will act as a platform for future private sector investment, a lobbying tool to galvanise public sector investment and a framework for public-private partnership."
