Drugs company expands in Salford

Pharmaceuticals distributor Mawdsleys has bought the premises next to its existing site in Weaste to allow for expansion.

Mawdsley Group Investments paid an undisclosed sum for the freehold to the 14,374 sq ft warehouse, called Houston House at 4 Houston Park, Montford Street. The building contains offices and storage over ground and first floors.

Ben Fallows, director of TFC, advising Mawdsley, said: "This building sits next door to Mawdsleys' current premises and was a strategic purchase to consolidate the company's ongoing expansion."

Lambert Smith Hampton acted for the vendor, a private pension fund.
