Downing to host Liverpool Cannes Do

Downing's The Capital office building in Liverpool city centre will be the venue for this year's Cannes Do, the annual alternative get-together for the property community during Mipim week.

The lunch for nearly 300 people will take place on the seventh floor of The Capital on Friday 13 March.

The event was first held around five years ago and used to take place in the Marriott hotel at Queen Square before it began touring; Rumford's 20 Chapel Street hosted the 2008 Cannes Do.

Chris Connor, director of Mason Owen and regular organiser of the event, is due to use the event to make his first public appearance since suffering a heart attack late last year. He is said to be recovering well and has started making brief visits to work.

Tickets are now on sale from event organiser the Merseyside Property Forum. For tickets contact Alastair Newman, MPF secretary and partner at King Sturge, on 0151 242 6601.
