Double Trafford Park deal for Regatta

More than 235,000 sq ft of industrial space has been let and sold by Regatta in Trafford Park, in two separate deals.

The 184,000 sq ft unit in Parkway on Alba Way has been sold for an undisclosed sum to AK Worthington, which acquired the building to accommodate a new contract.

Everest, Regatta's former 51,400 sq ft warehouse in Barton Dock Road, has been let to Bathroom Takeaway on a 10-year lease. The quoted rent was £5.50/sq ft.

WHR Property Consultants advised on both of the deals.

Gary Chapman, partner of WHR said: "Trafford Park remains the most sought after industrial destination in the North West, where existing stock is rapidly diminishing and rentals are beginning to increase. We currently have two active requirements for industrial units in the range of 150,000 sq ft to 250,000 sq ft but at present there is no modern existing stock to satisfy this demand. It is for this reason that developers are looking at building on a speculative basis again."

WHR was the sole agent on both buildings.
