Double departure at Argent

Developer Argent announced at the One St Peter's Square launch last night that James Heather, partner, and Angela Fielding, senior projects director, are to leave the company in 2015.

Heather joined Argent in 1999, and led on the development of the 270,000 sq ft One St Peter's Square office in Manchester city centre. Fielding has worked for the company since 2000 as part of the delivery team on One Piccadilly Gardens, Piccadilly Place, The Hive and One St Peter's Square.

Fielding is due to leave in February to set up her own marketing consultancy for property developers. Heather is due to depart in April, and is also establishing a consultancy.

Alongside Ruairidh Jackson, senior project director responsible for Argent's work on Airport City, Heather and Fielding are the most senior Argent managers based full-time in Manchester. Argent said there will be a replacement strategy in place which will be delivered over the course of the notice period.

One St Peters launchDavid Partridge, managing director of Argent, who splits his time between London and Manchester, revealed the news during the launch of One St Peter's Square last night, attended by more than 300 agents, developers, architects and advisers.

Speaking on the departures, Partridge said: "They have been a credit to the team, I wish them both the very best for the future.

"Argent will, nonetheless, continue to focus on the successful letting of this building, and we're confident that we'll see some exciting transactions over the next few months. We're also focusing on Airport City Manchester, where Ruairidh [Jackson, senior project director] and the team are working hard at providing a first class development management service to the partners there, MAG, Carillion, BCEG and GMPVF."

There are currently 10 people in the Manchester office, with a further five at Airport City.

Two excellent professionals – who will no doubt be missed but will also be going on to undertake interesting new opportunities. I am sure they will both do very well in their new ventures.

are you sure the figures are correct in how long they have worked there! Or is Argent like a fountain of youth as they both look very well on it! Good luck to them both
