Commercial and residential door specialist Teckentrup has taken 28,000 sq ft at Opus 9 Industrial Estate in Warrington on a 10-year lease.
The company will relocate from its existing premises on Gemini Business Park, also in Warrington, to take the space at Opus 9, which is off Junction 9 of the M62. Other occupiers at Opus include Next, Royal Mail, and The Car People
The property, owned by Aberdeen Standard Investments, had a quoting rent of £5.95/sq ft.
Gary Chapman, director at BC Real Estate, the agent on the scheme, said: “This was a good deal for all parties concerned. The landlord was able to secure a new tenant with no void period, better covenant strength and on more favourable terms while the tenant has been able to consolidate their operations into one building from the several they currently have, in a location where availability has been scarce.
“The demand for the unit and the location was high and so it is very pleasing to see rental levels again moving on for second hand space in the North West market.”
Teckentrup was advised on the deal by Hallams Commercial.
