DLA wins further Blackburn College work

Blackburn College has stuck with Manchester-based DLA Architecture, which worked on several phases of the campus renewal including last year's Beacon Centre, for a new sports facility at its Feilden Street campus.

The college received six bids for the design contract. The lowest fee offered was £235,000 and the highest offer was £333,000.

The award criteria were weighted 60% for skills and experience and 40% towards price.

The building is expected to take 19 months to complete.
