Disposal for prime Cheshire hotels

De Vere Group has sold its Daresbury Park hotel to Britannia Hotels as part of a £20m deal. Q Hotels has put its 146-bedroom Park Royal hotel outside Warrington up for sale.

De Vere sold the Royal Bath in Bournemouth and along with the De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel, to Britannia for a combined £20m. De Vere said it wanted to invest the receipts in development opportunities. De Vere still owns the Village hotel brand.

Meanwhile, Q Hotels has instructed Christie & Co to auction Park Royal along with Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa hotel, near York; the 100-bedroom Bridgewood Manor hotel in Chatham, Kent; and Stratford hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon. The four are expected to raise around £60m in total. The deadline for best bids is 11 May.
