Qualis Developments, the company behind a 131-apartment scheme in Sheffield, has submitted plans for its first project in Greater Manchester, a £7m residential development near Langworthy Metrolink stop.
The scheme includes 44 one and two-bed apartments over a four-storey block and is planned for a vacant site on the corner of Langworthy Road and Eccles New Road, near the M602. There will be 15 one-bed apartments and 29 two-beds.
Designed by architect Coda, the scheme also features a courtyard, parking to the rear, and a communal garden. The professional team also includes Broadfield Project Management, Dragonfly Consulting, Betts, DTPC, and Arbtech.
Knight Knox is acting as agent for the project.
The site has planning permission for a mixed three-and-four storey development; this was secured in 2005, but the project was never progressed.
Andy Phillips, commercial director at Qualis Developments, said: “The development will serve as a reasonably priced alternative to similar properties in Manchester city centre and directly on the Quays, but with all the same amenities and high spec interiors you’d expect of modern, quality accommodation.”
Qualis’ Sheffield scheme secured planning permission this year and work has already started on site, with around half of the apartments already sold.
