Details of BCSC Northern conference released

The theme of the 13th British Council of Shopping Centres Northern Region conference will be 'redefining home shopping: communities matter to customers'.

The three-day event, due to be held from 10 to 12 June at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel in Manchester, will 'explore ways to meet the consumer's need for both products and services by maximising the impact of word-of-mouth and relationship marketing and empowering customers as well as engaging and entertaining them'.

As the recession makes the need to retain footfall increasingly important, the conference will offer advice on building 'long-lasting customer loyalty that will generate added investment in your community – attracting occupiers, owners and customers.'

Speakers will include developers, community groups, retailers and landlords.

The full event programme will be available soon.
