Designs released for Co-op’s 3 Angel Square

The Co-operative Group has released concept designs for the second phase of office development at the £800m NOMA site in Manchester.

The designs, by architect Aedas, show a 12-storey, 250,000 sq ft office to be known as 3 Angel Square. The building will front the Angel Square public realm space.

The site is currently the location of a car park and sits alongside the Arkwright Mill mixed-use development.

The Co-op has scheduled 3 Angel Square for completion in 2016.

Earlier this week the Co-op submitted plans for a 3.5-acre site to include public realm, new pedestrian routes, and the conversion of space in New Century Hall to include a retail and restaurant offering.

In April the Co-op announced that it had selected Hermes Real Estate as its joint venture partner on the 20-acre NOMA scheme.
