Design team appointed for Chorley green project

The Halsall Lloyd Partnership has been selected to rejuvenate green spaces in Astley Village, Chorley.

The architect and design practice will work with housing provider Places for People and the local community on the £364,250 project.

The project is part of the Green Spaces for People project, a £15m lottery funded programme to regenerate more than 70 green spaces across the country.

Launched in November 2008, the four-month Astley Village Green Spaces competition sought ideas from design teams to help deliver a landscape/environmental improvement scheme for the area.

The competition attracted 27 submissions with Broadway Malyan and Donaldson Edwards Partnership reaching the second stage also.
