Derwent secures two Dreams deals
Nationwide bed retailer Dreams has signed a 10-year lease at Liverpool Shopping Park and agreed an expansion at White City Retail Park, Old Trafford, both owned by The Derwent Group.
Dreams will occupy a 10,021 sq. ft unit within the lifestyle-focused part of Liverpool Shopping Park. Fronting Edge Lane, this area already houses B&Q.
At White City, the retailer has renewed its lease for a further 10 years and will move from its current corner location to a larger unit, which increases its footprint by almost 2,000 sq ft.
Further White City tenants include Currys PC World, Halfords, Wren and Furniture Village as well as M&S Food Hall, Iceland Warehouse, Aldi, Nando’s and Costa.
James Maule-Finch, senior asset manager for The Derwent Group, said: “This is excellent news for both retail parks as it builds on our relationship with Dreams and reiterates that retailers are still willing to commit to high footfall locations and open new sites, even in a very challenging market.”
CSP acted for The Derwent Group at White City, and CSP and McMullen RE at Liverpool Shopping Park.
Derwent has in reent years embarked on expansion and improvement at Liverpool Shopping Park, securing consent in 2019 for a 145,000 sq ft phase of new space, while plans were put forward last year for a Lidl store
