Accountants and business advisors Deloitte has acquired surveyors and property consultancy Drivers Jonas LLP.
Deloitte has a 30-strong real estate team which will merge with the 670-strong Drivers Jonas to create Drivers Jonas Deloitte, with annual sales of £110m. Deloitte expects to double sales within three years by extending property advice to existing Deloitte clients.
The Manchester office has 80 staff and, together with Leeds, turned over £13.18m in 2008/09. Key clients include the Home Office, Manchester College, University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, Land Securities, British Land, ASDA, ING, PRUPRIM and British Rail Residuary Board.
Nick Shepherd, managing partner of Drivers Jonas will become managing partner of Deloitte's real estate group which will trade as Drivers Jonas Deloitte and he will join the Deloitte executive.
